Nine Views of The Moon
My second album for the Yamaha YM2151 sound chip. This one makes heavy use of its otherwise very rarely used hidden noise generator, which sounds similar to that of the YM2149, but higher pitched. It provides crunchier percussion alongside the well-known Yamaha FM sounds.
The tone is chill and mellow and evocative of space (but not outer space, which the moon is not in), being inspired by the many views of the moon I saw during the clear skies in the of autumn of 2025.
The cover art was drawn by myself.
